Nagaland Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities 2026 – Classes I to VIII
Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland
About this scholarship
The Nagaland Directorate of Social Welfare has opened the 2026 scholarship for eligible students with disabilities in Classes I–VIII. Student applications close on 30 November; 15 December is district verification, not a later student deadline. Keep the previous class/year progress report, Disability Certificate/UDID, bank passbook front page and the original income certificate in Annexure I or II ready. Use the proper income-certificate route for employed or unemployed/self-employed parents. The latter annexure prescribes Rs 20 non-judicial paper and countersignature by the designated magistrate/notary. A valid scheduled-bank account seeded with Aadhaar and mobile is required. Incorrect bank details or incomplete/wrong entries can cause rejection; the guideline says corrections after online submission will not be entertained. Institution certification and seals must follow the original format. The guideline does not specify an award amount.
Eligibility
Inhabitants of Nagaland studying in Classes I–VIII, with benchmark disability of at least 40% and parental/guardian annual income not exceeding Rs 2.5 lakh. The institution must have a valid AISHE/UDISE code and the required government recognition. Repeaters and beneficiaries of any other scholarship are not eligible. The institution certification also covers regular enrolment and the 75% attendance condition. See the original for the recognised disability definitions and certification.
Eligible states: Nagaland
Income limit: Annual parental/guardian income from all sources must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
Renewal rules
Renewal is for 2025-26 beneficiaries who passed the last examination and submit the previous class/year progress report. New eligible students use Fresh Application.
